A Suggestion From One Of The Valar Regarding Sorting

Edit: Because I'm tired of repeating myself constantly!
Thank you and sorry for shouting. - I now return you to my previous message. -_^

Lately we've had a lot of applications with brief or incomplete answers. I want to let all of you know that we Valar are working to correct this. One of the things we will be doing is to preview the applications before they are posted to make certain that all of the questions have been answered. This will also allow us to filter out applicants that are obvious Trolls... yes, we have had one and it was rejected - politely.

I would like to point out though, that sometimes answers may be brief simply because English is not the applicants first language. I think that we'd all like to be open to members from all over the world and should take this into account.

Sometimes though, the answers are brief simply because that is the personality of the person applying. What I would suggest - and it is only a suggestion - is that if you find an application difficult to sort either because of short answers or you simply can't get a good feel for where the person should be sorted to consider checking out their profile and journal. This can give a much clearer picture of the person in a lot of cases. And to echo newborn_doe please don't just automatically sort someone as Hobbit because you can't figure out where to place them! I'd rather see a simple comment that you're sorry but you can't figure out where to sort the person. No mention of Barrow-Wights need to be made! It will still count for sorting points and if the person edits the application to answer questions more fully so that you can place them, you can always delete your first "I don't know" post and submit a new one.

Thank you all!
